William F. White
Bristol, William F. White, 75, of 2 Birchwood Terrace, Bristol, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2004 at his home. He was the widower of Charlotte (Rioux) White.
William was born in Bristol on April 13, 1929, the son of the late Harold and Elizabeth "Bessie" (McCourt) White.
He was a veteran of WW II and served in the Army, Navy and the Marines for over 12 years. He was a life time member of AA and a member of VFW Post 994. He was a member of St. Joseph Church. Before he retired he worked at New Departure Hyatt Division of General Motors and Ricci's Carpet and Flooring in Plantsville.
He is survived by a daughter Charlene (Kowalchuk) Martel and her husband, Walter from Manchester; a son, John Kowalchuk of Boise, Idah; a sistera"in-law, Doris White of Bristol; a daughtera"in-law Sophia Derosier of Bristol; 5 grandchildren, Christine Zysk, John Kowalchuk, Jr., Nancy Rodgers, Karen Karaja and Heather Lafland; and 7 Great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He is pre-deceased a daughter, Roberta Lafland and three brothers Harold; Donald and Norman White.
Military funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 am from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol to St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Burial, with honors, will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM.
