Theresa Positano
Theresa (Iammatteo) Positano, 89, of Bristol passed away Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at Ingraham Manor in Bristol.

She was the wife of Michael W. Positano, who passed away in 2007. She was born in New York, N.Y., on Dec. 13, 1920, the daughter of the late Berardino and Antionetta Iammatteo. Theresa worked for several years for the Board of Education for the city of Bristol. She was a member of St. Anthony Church, Bristol.

She is survived by a son, Michael A. Positano and his wife, Vivian; two daughters, Linda Crochetiere and her husband, Al, and Nancy Phoenix and her husband, Jay, all of Bristol; a granddaughter, Jill Lawlor and her husband, Mark; two great grandchildren, Matthew and Garrett Lawlor, all of Woodbury; plus several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Iammatteo, and a sister, Carmela White. The family would like to thank all the aides who helped with her care and all the staff at Ingraham Manor for their kindness extended to our mom during her stay at the facility.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol, to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
