Mrs. Theresa K. (Woodard) Chapulis, 79, of Bristol passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011. She was the widow of John Chapulis Sr. She was born in Bristol July 4, 1931, the daughter of late Archie and Susan (Lefebvre) Woodard. Theresa was employed at the Memorial Boulevard School in the cafeteria for 25 years. She continued to provide homemade goodies to friends and family well after her retirement. She also did volunteer work at local nursing homes. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend and she loved to cook and bake. She is survived by two sons, John and William Chapulis and her devoted daughter, Jan Chapulis, all from Bristol; a brother ,Archie Woodard of Burlington and five sisters, Madeline Politis of West Hartford, Susan Bilodeau of Colchester, Shirley Goulet, Beverly Strong and Charlotte Zapor all of Bristol; grandsons, Jason, Matthew and Scott; a godson, Mark Bilodeau of Colchester; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, WWII PFC Frederick Woodard, and two sisters, Louise Goulet and Dorothy Gomes. The family wishes to extend itsdeepest gratitude to the staff at Farmington Care Center and to a longtime friend Beverly Briatico. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Friends may call at Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St., Bristol, Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer Association CT Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067
