Stinnard Harrigan, 92, of 93 Haviland St., Bristol, passed away peacefully, Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at his home. He was the widower of Irene (Page) Harrigan. Stinnard was born in Bristol Dec. 1, 1918, the son of the late Daniel and Ida (Stinnard) Harrigan. He served his country in WWII in the Air Force and then worked for 44 years at New Departure Hyatt Division of General Motors, retiring 30 years ago. He was a member of St. Ann Church, a coach in Bristol Little League and St. Ann CYO League. He was a devoted father to his children. Survivors include sons, Gary Harrigan and his wife, Susan, Wayne Harrigan and his wife, Elaine and Robert Harrigan and his wife, Cindy; and two daughters, Gail Devoid and her husband, Ricky and Darlene Brown; a brother, Daniel Harrigan; a sister, Nadine; grandchildren, Kelly, Casey, Todd, Evan, Alex, Sean, Melissa and Eric Harrigan Castonguay, Kim Montefalso, Vicki Bengston and Ronald Markure Jr.; 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Helen Kelley. He was predeceased by three sisters, Mary, Ida and Chandra. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
