Stephen E. Kelpinski
Stephen E. Kelpinski, 92, of 24 Catlin Road, Harwinton died peacefully Sunday Jan. 22, 2006 at Sheriden Woods Health Care Center in Bristol. he was the widower of Eva (Burneika) Kelpinski. Stephen was born in Bristol April 15, 1913, the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Okquinska) Kelpinski. He married Eva Aug. 22, 1936 and they were married nearly 56 years at the time of her death in January 1992. He resided in Bristol most of his life until moving to Har-winton in 1955. He was educated in Bristol schools and was employed as a superintendent at Holo-Krome Co. in Elmwood, were he worked for 43 years and from which he retired in 1975. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Harwinton and a former member of St. Joseph Church in Bristol. He enjoyed fishing on his lake, taking trips with his seniors and meeting his friends at the Senior Center in Harwinton and also enjoyed UConn basketball. He is survived by a sister, Jennie Lewandoski of Bristol; nephews Henry Lewandoski of Bloomfield, Robert Lewandoski of Bristol, Ronald Lewandoski of Farmington and Richard Golin of New Hartford; his nieces, Joan Gogolewski of Leesburg, Fla., Marty Kozlowski of Bristol, Diane Huber of Bristol and Mary Ann Videtto of Harwinton; a sister-in-law, Mary Golin of Farmington; a very dear friend, Louise Tufano of Harwinton and her family; as well as many grandnieces and grandnephews. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol to St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
