BRISTOL - Stanley F. Brzozowski, 88, formerly of Pinehurst Road, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at Sheriden Health Care Center in Bristol. He was the widower of Katherine M. (Parker) Brzozowski. They were married for more than 50 years. Born Oct. 15, 1918, in New Britain, the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Helen (Kam-inski) Brzozowski, he attended St. Stanislaus School and Bristol High School. He worked at New Departure-Hyatt Division of General Motors. His life was interrupted as he enlisted to serve his country during World War II in the 169 Infantry Division, leaving Bristol in 1941. He served in the Army, where he participated in several of the South Pacific campaigns, earning an honorable discharge. He was a member of BPOE No. 1010 and a senior member of the Bristol Polish American Citizen Club. He is survived by his brother, Bernard, and his wife, Dorothy, of Bristol and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Sister Mary M. Sylvia Brzozowski; a brother, Joseph J. Brzozowski and his wife, Irene; a stepbrother, Joseph Pavelec; and a niece, Carol (Brzozowski) Wilkinson. The family would like to thank the staff at Sheriden Woods for all the care they gave to Stanley, and they also thank Dr. Adler and his staff. Calling hours will be today, May 18, 2007, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a 9:15 a.m. service at St. Stanislaus Church, Bristol.
