Sophie Dawiczyk

Sophie (Suntava) Dawiczyk, 102, of 50 Ridge Rd. Bristol, passed away July 2, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. She was the widow of Frank Dawiczyk.

She is born in Bristol on May 9, 1912 the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosalie Suntava. She was a lifelong resident of Bristol and worked at the former Ingraham Company and retired in the 1960s from Marlin Rockwell Company after 25 years of service. She is a member of St. Stanislaus Church and former member of the Golden Agers of the church and also was a member of the Bristol Senior Citizens.
She is survived by two sons, Frank and his wife Lori Dawiczyk of Bristol and Gregory and his wife Peggy Dawiczyk of Avon.
A sister, Dorothy Riquer of Willimantic. Seven grandchildren, Rachel, David, Mark, Craig, Wendie, Michelle, Jennifer and four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Cameron, Cody and Ethan. Plus several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son, Richard Dawiczyk and sisters, Mary Johnson, Barbara and Stella Suntava and two brothers, Charles and Michael Suntava.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 9 AM from the Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St., Bristol, CT to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call the funeral home on Monday, July 7, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM.
