Paul A. Kidd
Paul A. Kidd of West Hartford, born in Mahwah, New Jersey on October 23, 1916, died peacefully on January 7, 2012. After serving in World War II, Paul was employed by Lincoln Mercury for 13 years and The Travelers Insurance Company for 25 years. An avid golfer with a 6 handicap in the 1960's, Paul was on The Travelers Golf Team which won several titles when competing against area insurance teams. Over the years he was a member of Rockledge Mens' Club, and he won club championships while playing for Copper Hill Mens' Club. He passed his love of golf on to his son and grandson, and they spent countless days at area courses competing against each other. Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife, Stina (Carlson) Kidd, his beloved daughter, Gwendolyn Kidd, and his sister, Alice (Kidd) Windsor. He leaves his son and daughter-in-law Charles and Lynn (Bossarelli) Kidd of West Hartford, and a grandson that he absolutely adored, Byron D. Kidd of Glastonbury.
The family is honoring their loved one's request that no services be held. The private burial is being handled by the Dunn Funeral Home of Bristol. The family wishes to thank the staff at the West Hartford Health and Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care and compassion for the past three years.
