Ora V. Mieczkowski

Ora V. (Marrocco) Mieczkowski, 99, of Bristol, died on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the Village Green in Forestville. 
She was born in Johnstown, PA on May11, 1924 the daughter of the late Frank and Genevieve ( Collando) Marrocco. 

Ora loved family gatherings, cooking and baking and loved to watch UCONN Women Basketball. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales of St. Ann Church. 

She is survived by a daughter, Jane Staudt and her husband Rob Washington of Bristol  and a son, Leon Mieczkowski of Bristol . A brother, Frank Marrocco and 3 sisters, Rose Gonzales, Donna Rancourt and Nancy Champagne plus several nieces and nephews. 
She is predeceased by a son, Michael Mieczkowski and a brother, Anthony Marrocco and three sisters, Mary Wisnewski, Elsa Guerrera and Margerita Marrocco .

The family would like to thank her caregiver, Charlene, who thru her kindness and support became a close friend. 
Family and friends may call at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., on  Monday, November 27, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held  at 10:00 AM at St. Francis de Sales of St. Ann Church.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.  Donations can be made to American Diabetes Assoc.
