Nicholas "Nick" F. Urso, left us peacefully in his sleep on December 7, 2023, surrounded by his loving family and many wonderful friends. Nick was born in Bristol on March 25, 1950, the son of the late Benjamin P. And Nancy (Serra) Urso.
Nick overcame many obstacles in the past few years and refused to give up life easily. He partied up to the end, filled with love, laughter, food, family and friends. He leaves behind to carry on his zest for life, his wife of 51 years Carolyn (Tonon) Urso, his daughter, Nicole and Grandson, Dominic, his son, Ben and Laura, Mia, Ava, and Ella, his sister, Marianne and many nieces and nephews and many acquired and loved family. He is predeceased by a sister, Patricia Malvezzi. He was a resident of Bristol his entire life and was the owner of Downtown Cafe for many years, where he made many wonderful friends that he shared his love of cooking, music, the Yankees and the Giants with them.
He was a member St. Anthony Church the West End Athletic Club and of B.P.O. E. #1010 and was the Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus and was Knight of the Year for the State of Connecticut. We would like to thank his very devoted friends who provided him transportation to and from dialysis and to and from the Polish club to play cards on Friday and his beloved "Beaver Boys" for many years of friendship.
