Mrs. Palma (Testa) Fortier
Bristol, Mrs. Palma (Testa) Fortier, 81 formerly, of Lexington Street, Bristol, passed away Monday, May 23, 2005 peacefully at the Sheriden Woods Health Care Center, surrounded by her children. She was the widow of Joseph Fortier.
She was born in Bristol on June 18, 1923, the daughter of the late Domenico and Vincenza (Masi) Testa.
Palma lived in Bristol her whole life and worked for several years at Veeder-Root and E. Ingraham Company. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her loving children and provided many meals to the needy. She was a life time member of St. Anthony Church.
She is survived by two sons and their wives and three daughters and their husbands, Phil and Beverly Fortier and their children Ryan and Corey; George and Michele and their children, Nick, Joe and Dave Fortier; Patricia and her husband, Rene Brunet, and their children, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Chante, Devon, Savanna and Aaron Brunet; Christine and her husband, Richard LeClair, and their children, Jennifer, Angela, Michael, Jessica, Kimberly and Rebecca Berkowitz and her husband, Barry, and Lisa and her husband, Jim Tabellione; Donna and her husband, Bryan Kalat, and their children, Angela, Amanda and James Kalat.
Palma is also survived by three brothers, James and George Testa of Bristol and Albert Testa of Norwich; a sister, Sister Angelina Testa, M.P.F., of Morristown, NJ.; and three great grandchildren; Brandon and Eileah Berkowitz and Isabella Tabellione; and several Nieces and Nephews.
She was pre-deceased by seven brothers, Bernardo, Fortunato, Santino, Joseph, Anthony, Rocco and Philip and 2 sisters Jennie Coletto and Rose Communale.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at 9:00 am at the Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St., Bristol, to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 Am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
