Mona L. Smith

Mona L. Smith, 74, of Terryville passed away April 10, 2017 at Cook-Willow Convalescent Hospital.

Mona was born in New Haven on August 24, 1942, daughter of the late Carl and GullieThureson. She worked for many years at Brothers Two Restaurant in New Britain, CT. After her retirement, she loved to crochet blankets and scarves for her great grandchildren.

She enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing cards, and going to the casino. She had a love for Elvis Presley and she love her dog, Missy.
Mona leaves behind a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Bruce Burton, her sons, Bill Smith and Scott Smith and his girlfriend Robin, and her daughter Kim Smith. She leaves her grandchildren, Kevin Smith and his wife Renae, Sandra Tyler and her husband Joe, Heather Tampellini and her husband Justin, Becky Lyon and her fiancée Mike, and Jeffrey Blees and his fiancée Brittany and her great grandchildren, Caden Tampellini, Jack Rioux, Maci Smith, Savannah Tyler and Sam, Megan, Grace and Mark Jr. Gardner.
She also leaves behind her best friend of many years, Mary Rankl. Plus several nieces and nephews.
She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol is in charge of arrangements.
