Marie Cronkhite, 88, of Bristol passed away Monday, Nov. 24 at The Pines of Bristol.
Marie was born in Bangor, Maine, on Dec. 9, 1925, a daughter of the late Mary (Kearns) and Vernon A. Cronkhite.
She lived her whole life in Bristol and was a member of St. Joseph Church which she dedicated her life to volunteering in her retirement.
She worked at Bussman Company, formerly E. Ingraham Company, in Bristol for 40 years, retiring in 1986.
Marie is survived by a brother, Thomas W. and his wife, Elma Cronkhite, plus several nieces and nephews including, Rebecca Courchaine and her husband, Terry, and great nephews and niece, Thomas and Michael Courchaine, Danielle Courchaine who they treated as their grandmother; and her lifetime best friend, Dot Beaucar.
She is predeceased by bothers, Joseph, Henry and a sister, Marjorie Hall.
Family would like to thank all the caregivers for the past three years that made her life comfortable at home.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, Bristol, Conn., Dec. 1, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
