Madeline Cova
Madeline (Vontell) Cova, 85, of 41 Vance Drive, Bristol, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012, at Touchpoint of Farmington.
She was the wife of Manuel Cova. Madeline was born Oct. 3, 1926, in Concord, N.H., the daughter of the late William and Etta Vontell. She worked at O-Z/Gedney for several years and a nursing home in Farmington. She loved bingo, music, walking and shopping.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Richard Cova and William and his wife, Diane Cova of Bristol; a daughter, Alice and her husband, John Bordner of Thomaston; two sisters, Louise Sinko of Bristol and Mary Whipple of Southington; nine grandchildren, Kim, Carole, Sandy, Steven, Monique, Toni, Brenda, Craig and Angel; 17 great-grandchildren; plus several nieces and nephews; and was a mother to seven foster children in Connecticut.
Madeline was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Bishop, and two sons, John and David Cova.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., to St. Ann Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol.
