Lucy (Santone) Loveland, 84, of 25 Mines Road, Bristol, passed away peacefully Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at her home. She was born in Bristol April 9, 1924, the daughter of the late Francisco Peter and Philomena (DeMarzzio) Santone.
She worked at Stanley Works in Farmington for years until she retired more than 20 years ago. She is survived by a son, Lawrence, and his wife, Sue Loveland; three daughters, Linda Moran and Mel Goffe, Lana McKenney and Lorraine and Dennis Osipiak; sisters Josephine Raley and Mildred Neumann; seven grandchildren, Lisa and her husband, George Proakis, Richard and his wife, Kim Loveland, Kelly and her husband, Vinny Stetson, Heather and her husband, Mark Mahler, Scott, Todd and Craig Osipiak; and two great- grandchildren, Justin Loveland and Evangeline Proakis; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Kevin Moran; three brothers, Tom, John and Sam Santone; and a sister, Mary DeLisle. Private funeral will be held Thursday and burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arthritis Foundation, 35 Cold Spring Road, Bldg. 400, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
