Lillian (Dennis) Davenport, widow of Jerome E. Davenport Sr., passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Bristol hospital after a brief illness. Born on May 22, 1933 Fort Kent, Maine a daughter of the late Velma (Dennis) Blair.
Moving to Bristol in 1950 she started her family and went to work at the former Ingram company and later as a homemaker / companion for several prominent families in Bristol until her retirement. Mom enjoyed working in the yard and could always be seen outside if you drove by. She was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. She loved animals and made it a point to leave something outside for them to eat. She leaves behind her son Jerome E Davenport Jr. and his wife Lorraine of Granby, Roger and Robert Davenport both of Bristol. Her grandchildren, Jerome E Davenport III, Joseph Davenport, Gina Davenport, Shelley Davenport, Robert Davenport Jr., April Davenport and Dylan Davenport. Her great grandchildren, Gabriel Cruz, Anthony Cruz, Nathan Paradise, Evan Paradise, Bobby Davenport, Aubrianna Harris, son-in-law Otilo Salgado and daughter-in-law Leslie (Palin) Davenport. She also leaves behind the love of her life granddaughter, Liza Salgado and great-grandson Christian Pabon and her companion and best friend Kurt Habeski. Plus several nieces and nephews.
Mom is predeceased by her daughter, Deborah Salgado, son, Bryant Davenport, great-granddaughter, Nora Salgado and her sister Mary (Dennis) Pollard.
Friends and relatives may call at Dunn funeral home 191 West St. Bristol on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 5 to 8 PM with a service beginning at 5:15 PM.
