Lena (Valerio) Fiorente, 90, of Bristol died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at Country Side Manor. She was the wife of Joseph Fiorente Sr. Lena was born in Bristol, Feb. 27, 1920 daughter of the late Peter and Gaetano (Marseglia) Valerio. She worked at New Departure Hyatt-Divisions of General Motors, Sessions Clock Co. and she retired from Smith Gate Co. in Farmington in 1985. She was a member of St Anthony Church and the Rosary Society of the church. She was very active in all events at the church, plus was a member of Sons of Italy-OSIA, Lena was a volunteer at Bristol Hospital for many years. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Joseph Fiorente Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Southington and Peter Fiorente and his wife, Evelyn, of Bristol; a daughter, Mary Ellen O'Neil and her husband, Timothy; a brother, Daniel Valerio, of Bristol; and a sister, Caroline "Dolly" Neri of Torrington; five grandchildren, Jenna Fiorente, Stephanie O'Neil, Katie O'Neil, Robyn Erickson and Monika Fiorente-Belo; two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Rachel Erickson; plus many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m., from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol, to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
