Lawrence Joseph Theriault
Mr. Lawrence Joseph Theriault, 84, of Bristol, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, March 11, 2012. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Kathleen (Collins) Theriault. Lawrence was born in Fort Kent, ME on August 3, 1927 the son of the late Alphonse and Marie Rose (Paradise) Theriault. He served in the US Army during World War II and worked for Wasley Products in Essex, CT for over 30 years and co-founded Brass Traditions Lighting by Malco, Inc. with his sons, Michael and Allen in 1978 and continued to work with his sons until retiring in 2002. Besides his wife, he is survived by children, Michael and his wife Trina of Bristol, Allen and his wife Barbara of Bristol, Dale and her husband Paul Chabris of Midlothian, Virginia. His grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Sara Theriault of Manchester, Carolyn and her husband Daniel Palmquist of New Haven, Christopher Theriault of Southington, Brian and Robert Theriault of Bristol, Maggie Theriault of Bristol, And Krista Chabris of Midlothian, Virginia. Two great grandchildren, Jolene and Nora Palmquist of New Haven. Also surviving are his siblings, Roland and his wife Theresa Theriault of Berlin, CT, Alphonse and his wife Lillian Theriault of Georgia, Geraldine and her husband Roger Mailhot of Plainville and was predeceased by several siblings, Willard Theriault, Clarence Theriault and Roger Theriault. Lawrence is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on April 14, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church in Bristol. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to In Memory of Lawrence J. Theriault to The UConn Foundation, 2390 Alumni Dr., Unit 3206, Storrs, CT 06269 to support the Neag Comprehensive Cancer Fund at the UConn Health Center.
