Karin H. (Bekstrom) Kisser
Karin H. (Bekstrom) Kisser, 70, of 36 Melville St., Bristol, passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at Bristol Hospital. She was the wife of Milton V. Kisser. Mrs. Kisser was born in Bristol March 23, 1938, the daughter of the late Einar and Olga (Westfall) Bekstrom. She was a lifelong resident of Bristol and attended Bristol High School. Karin was a graduate of Grace New Haven Nursing School and was a registered nurse for more than 40 years. She was a member of the Bristol Historical Society and Immanuel Lutheran Church. Beside her husband, of Bristol, she is survived by her daughter, Gwen Kisser of Bristol; a son, Nathan Kisser and his wife, Celine, of Bristol; two grandchildren, Emilee and Haylee; a brother, Ernie Bekstrom and his wife, Rachel, of Bristol; two sisters, Marsha Theer and Astrid Bekstrom, both of Bristol; a brother in-law, Wilfred Kisser of Southington; and several nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased by a son, Brian J. Kisser; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Agnes Bohn of Bristol; and a sister-in-law, Lydia Kisser. A private funeral was held Wednesday at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol, and burial followed in West Cemetery, Bristol.
