Josephine Marie Errico, 88, of 150 School St., died Sunday, August 17, 2008, at her home.
She was born in Milford, on November 11, 1919, daughter of the late Arcangelo and Ermelina (Volpi) Campana Errico Solomon. Josephine moved to Bristol in 1931, and graduated from in 1937, at Bristol High School, she then attended Teachers College in New Britain, Hartford School of Art and Cota School of Art. She was a member of St Anthony Church in which she played the organ since 1940's; she also was a member of Secular Order of St. Francis, Contemporary Writers, Bristol Art League and Legion of Mary. Besides being the church organist she taught piano to hundreds of children.
She is survived by two nephews, Robert J. Campana and John Anthony Campana, Jr., a grand niece, Heather Campana.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 9:00 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St Bristol to St Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anthony School 111 School St., Bristol, CT 06010.
