Joseph Fiorente, Sr.

Joseph “Red†Fiorente, Sr. 93, of Bristol, died Friday, April 18, 2014 at his home surrounded by this family. He was the husband of the late Lena (Valerio) Fiorente.
Joseph was born in Gioia del Colla, Italy, on June 17, 1920 son of the late Joseph and Mary (Milano) Fiorente.
Red was a veteran in World War II serving in the Army -Air Force. He worked at Pine St. Barber Shop from 1942 until he retired in 1985. He was a member of St Anthony Church, Sons of Italy, and the Barber Union. Joe was an avid golfer.
He is survived by; one son, Peter Fiorente and his wife Evelyn of Bristol, a daughter, Mary Ellen O’Neil and her husband Timothy. A brother, Rocco Fiorente of Bristol. 5 grandchildren; Jenna Fiorente, Stephanie (O’Neil) Mitchell, Katie O’Neil, Robyn Errickson and Monika Fiorente-Belo, 2 great grandchildren; Matthew and Rachel Errickson. A daughter in-law Barbara Fiorente, plus many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son, Joseph Fiorente, Jr.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 am from Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol, to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Burial will follow with military honors in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Anthony Development Fund 111 School St. Bristol, CT 06010.
