Jeffery A. Weed, 58, of Bristol, passed peacefully at home on Thursday, December 5, 2013.
Born in Portland, Maine on April 17, 1955, Jeff was raised in Bristol, attending West Woods Elementary and graduating from Bristol Eastern High School in 1973.
Jeff was owner of Bostonâs Restaurant and Sports Bar, in Manchester, CT and previously owned Angelinoâs Restaurant, in Bristol, CT. Prior to being a Restaurateur, he was employed at BW Manufacturing, starting as a machinist and working his way to Vice President.
Jeff attended Marlboro College in Vermont and later graduated from Connecticut Culinary Institute.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, Jeff enjoyed gathering with his ever-growing family and last year celebrated 25 years of marriage to his wife Lisa.
Jeff seldom took time away from work, but most enjoyed skiing with family and friends, when work permitted. He found an ideal way to combine this pleasure with work when he signed on to run the food and beverage service at Magic Mountain Base Lodge in Londonderry, VT. Jeff and his family built many unforgettable memories together while operating in this capacity for over 10 years. Skiing also brought Jeff and Lisa to the Southwest, particularly the Sante Fe and Taos regions. There, they developed an appreciation for Native American culture and art, eventually becoming avid collectors.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Lisa; three children and their spouses, Jonathan Hudson and his wife Jill of Bristol, Ali Therrien and her husband Keven of Plymouth and Tyler Weed of Bristol; parents, Joyce and Everett Weed; and his siblings, Gary and Katherine Weed and Karen Weed ,all of Bristol. Also, he leaves three dear grandchildren, Everett and Vera Therrien and Ellie Hudson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11 AM at the Asbury United Methodists Church. Friends may call at the Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St. Bristol on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

With tears we watched you suffer
As you slowly fade away
Our hearts were completely broken
As you fought so hard to stay
We knew you had to leave us
But you never went alone
Because part of us went with you
The day you left your home.
