James Ziogas
James Ziogas, 77, of 30 Melrose St., Bristol Passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at his home. He was the husband of Antoinette M. (Pagliarulo) Ziogas.
Mr. Ziogas was born in Bristol on December 15, 1925 the son of the late Christos and Polly (Papastragou) Ziogas.
He lived in Bristol all his life and worked at Marlin Rockwell a" TRW for 30 years before he retired in 1985. He served his country during World War II in the US Navy. James was a member of West End Athletic Club, American Legion, Bristol Tramps, Retired Police Association and St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.
Beside his wife, he is survived by six sons and daughters-in-law Gregory and Constance, Christopher and Carol, James Jr. and Rosanne, John, Mark and Carolyn, and Michael and Caren Ziogas, all from Bristol; a sister, Catherine Katopis of Chicopee Falls, MA; 15 Grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2003 at 10:00 at St. Demetrios Greek Church, 31 Brightwood Rd., Bristol. Burial will follow with military honors in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St. Bristol on Wednesday from 5 a" 8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bristol Boys Club, 105 Laurel St. Bristol, CT 06010.
