Mr. James F.(Big Jim) Shaskus, 59, of St. Regis Falls, New York passed away on Thursday
a€" November 25, 2004 at West Haven VA Hospital. He was the husband of Julie (Collins) Shaskus.
He was born in Hartford, CT on June 17, 1945 the son of the late Charles and Claire (Powers) Shaskus.
He was a Veteran in the Air Force.
Mr. Shaskus lived in Bristol most of his life until he moved to St. Regis Falls five years ago. Very active in as a lecturer at St. Ann Church in St. Regis Falls.
A member of Knights of Columbus.
Beside his wife he is survived by a daughter Tina Shaskus four sons and two daughter in laws Garry and Stacy Pokorny; Ronnie and Nancy Pokorny; Greg Pokorny and Stephen Bishop, five brothers John; Charles, Anthony, Joseph and Michael Shaskus two sisters Mary-Ellen Zilinskas and Martha Koscinski; eight grandchildren Matthew; Gregory; Julia; Michael; Samantha; Cynthia; Zachary; Joseph Pokorny and several nieces and nephews.
Military funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 am from Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol to St. Ann Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6 a€" 8 PM.
