George A. Frank Jr.
George A. Frank Jr., 86, of Terryville, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 7, 2013, at his youngest sons, Brian's home with his daughter, Linda giving constant care and his loving dog, Rocky by his side. He was the widower of Gladys J. (Hunter) Frank.
George was born in Barbuda on Feb. 12, 1926, the son of George A. Frank Sr. and Ruby (Miller) Frank.
He worked for Chase Brass and Copper in Waterbury, Bradley Memorial Hospital in Southington and The Veterans Hospital in West Haven. He retired from Marlin Rockwell, where he was an active and effective union worker.
He was a hard worker his entire life and in his past retirement he worked at The Barney House in Farmington and ESPN in Bristol.
He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Navy and received the WWII Service Award. George enjoyed deep sea fishing and playing soft ball. He always was ready with a joke and had a big smile and a big laugh. He also enjoyed listening to Andrea Bocelli Live in Central Park.
He is survived by, his daughters, Linda G. (Frank) and her husband, Donald Trimmer, of Massachusetts and Claudia E. Frank and her husband, Fletcher Graves, of Waterbury; two sons, Rodney G. Frank of Pennsylvania and Brian J. Frank of Terryville and his companion, Lisa Lubrico; a sister, Juanita "Pat" Brillant and her husband, David of Maine; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife his is predeceased by sons, Wayne G. Frank and Jeffrey Frank.
Friends may call at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St. Bristol, on Wednesday, from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in the conveniece of the family
