Mr. Frank C. Maro, 83, of 63 Greystone Ave., Bristol, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at the Bristol Hospital after a short illness. He was the wife of Irene (Nicolello) Maro.
He was born in Bristol on November 20, 1920, the son of the late Michael and Marguerite (Graziano) Maro and lived in Bristol his whole life. He worked for Local 218 for over 25 years as a steamfitter and Bristol Central High School as a monitor for 10 years, before he retired four years ago.
A veteran of World War II serving in the Air Force.
He was a member of St. Anthony Church.
Beside his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert Maro, and a daughter, Barbara Jobs, both of Bristol; two grandchildren Doreen Reed of Bristol and Warren Jobs of FL; four great-grandchildren Sierra, Cameron, Katelyn and Kali; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. at the Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St. Bristol to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 Am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 a€" 7 p.m.
