Edith (Quinto) Cistulli
BRISTOL - Edith (Quinto) Cistulli, 90, of 114 Union St., Bristol, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 8, 2007, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family at Bristol Hospital. She was the widow of Patsy Cistulli. She was born March 28, 1917, in Bernardsville, N.J., the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Colantoni) Quinto. Edith resided in Bristol since age 2 and was briefly employed at New Departure-Hyatt, choosing instead to be a homemaker and mother. She was a member of St. Anthony Church. She was a wonderful cook and baker, noted for her delicious Italian cookies, which she baked for many weddings of family and friends and she also made the best apple pies. She is survived by three daughters, Jeannette Lofquist and her husband, Butch; Marion Cockayne and her husband, Bruce; and Anne Bartlett and her husband, Alan; nine grandchildren, Dianne Nocera and her husband, Jerry; Kristine Luczak and her husband, Lester; Mark Lofquist and his wife, Krista; Kenneth Cockayne; Chuck Cockayne and his wife, Laine; Cindy Cockayne; Carrie Cockayne; Sherry Bouchard and her husband, Dave; and Elaine Bartlett; and 10 great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Michael Nocera, Sara and Andrew Luczak, Kenneth Jr., Max and Brad Cockayne, Sabrae and Spencer Boisvert and Victoria Bouchard. She loved to be with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who meant the world to her. Edith is also survived by a brother, Raymond Quinto, and a sister, Alice Williams; plus several nieces, nephews and cousins. Edith was predeceased by a brother, Armand Quinto, and a sister, Gilda Mastrobattista. The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
