Bristol - Dorothy (Cota) Sobota, 88, of Bristol, passed away September 11, 2016 at Ingraham Manor. She was the widow of Felix T. Sobota, aka, Thomas Sobota Sr.. Dot was born in Ellington, CT on December 4, 1927, the daughter of the late Arthur and Coral Etta (Allen) Cota. She resided most of her life in Bristol. She was married May 5,1951 to her husband Tom. Dorothy worked at the Mackson Manufacturing Company for over 28 years and retired in 2004. Dot loved her family, and her many pets, including cats and dogs, birds, guinea pigs, and hamsters. She also loved tag saleing with her son, and her other hobbies included knitting and plastic canvas crafts, and word search puzzles. She is survived by a son, Thomas and his wife Beverly Sobota of Bristol. 2 grandchildren, Bonnie Cannon-Keddy and Timothy Keddy and his wife Nancy. 5 great grandchildren: Laci, Olivia, Paul, Katelin, and Patrick, and 2 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a daughter, Patricia and her husband Ronald Keddy. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St., Bristol.
