Dominick Gioiele

Agawam, MA - Mr. Dominick Gioiele, 88, formerly of Torrington, died October 22, 2017 in Springfield, MA. He was the husband of Jean (Copley) Gioiele.

Dom was born on September 19, 1929 in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Nicholas and Rosina (Saccordo) Gioiele.

He was a long time resident of Torrington and Winsted. He moved to Myrtle Beach, SC 20 years ago before he moved to Agawam this past year. He was a former member of Torrington Elks Lodge 372.

He worked for the State of Connecticut for over 25 years retiring in 1984.  

 Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Debra and her husband Marty Dooley of Chicopee, MA, a sister, Ann DeMichael and 3 grandchildren, Connor and his wife Laura, Taryn and Bria.

He is predeceased by 4 brothers, Nicholas, Pasquale, Louis and Albert Gioiele and a sister, Mary Evangelisti.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:30 at Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave. Torrington. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 to 11:30.
