Constance Penda

Constance (Cyr) Penda, beloved wife of 57 years of the late James B. Penda, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2016. She was born on April 27, 1928, in Bristol, the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Jeannette (Marques) Cyr. Before retiring, Connie was employed at Aetna Life Insurance Company in Hartford for many years. She leaves very dear friends Frank and Mary Ann Chesky, and their children Frank and Cindy. Connie leaves her Goddaughter, Donna Luzi, her husband Armand, and their daughter Carmela Luzi. In addition, she leaves her dear friend, Frances Colapietro, along with many relatives and friends. Connie loved to spend time with friends playing cards, playing bingo, trips to the casino, and watching sports, especially UCONN Women's Basketball. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 6, at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Church. Relatives and friends may meet directly at the church. Entombment will follow in Holy family Mausoleum in St. Joseph Cemetery, in Bristol. There are no calling hours. Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol is in charge of arrangements.
