Catherine (Positano) Devoti
Mrs. Catherine (Positano) Devoti, 94, formerly of Norton St. Bristol, passed away Sunday at Ingraham Manor Nursing Home. She was the widow of Peter Devoti who passed away in 1996. She was born in Windsor Locks on March 24, 1913 the daughter of the late Carlo and Julia (Delfino) Positano. A longtime resident of Bristol and a member of St. Anthony Church and Bristol Senior Citizens. She is survived by a two daughters, Marianne Gutska Barnett and husband Bruce of Enfield and Julie Devoti of Bristol; six grandchildren; Lynn and her husband Anthony D'Angelo, Gregory Gutska and his wife Karen, Dawn and her husband Michael Rancourt, Richard Gutska and his wife Kathleen, Marianne and her husband Mark Maruca and Peter Gutska, nine great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Plus several nieces and nephew. She also leaves a beloved and cherished friend LuAnn Fraulo who loved Catherine as her mother. She is predeceased by six brothers and sisters. The Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St. to St. Anthony Church for A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. The family would like to thank the nurses and CNA's of Ingraham Manor, who so caringly provided Catherine with love and dignity in her final years.
