Carolyn Elizabeth Morse

Carolyn Elizabeth (Bliss) Morse, 78, of Bristol, CT passed away at home on Sunday, January 26, 2025. Carolyn was born on September 11th, 1946, in Hartford CT, and grew up in East Hartford, CT. 

She is survived by her daughter Leigh Elizabeth Morse of Farmington, CT and is predeceased by her son Christopher William Morse.

 Carolyn spent much of her childhood visiting with her grandmother Violet Serekian, learning more about her Armenian heritage. Carolyn was determined, strong and independent, she bought her first house on George Street in Hartford when she was just 18 years old. She got her real estate license and began working at The Heritage where she made lifelong friends. Carolyn moved to West Hartford where she raised her two children. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh, her smile was contagious. She was thrifty and recycling was her jam before it became popular. She loved to go to the symphony, antiquing, and decorate her homes. She was a great cook and would often use ingredients from her garden. She loved to go on house and garden tours to get inspiration. 

Carolyn was a member of the South Congregational church and spent decades volunteering her time there. She regularly donated blood to the red cross and this continued when she moved to Tampa, Florida in 2000 where she built her dream home. She began a career a certified gemologist selling jewelry which brought her so much joy. She moved back to CT in 2014 spending time reconnecting with loved ones. A private memorial service will be held in the spring, when all the flowers are blooming. WWW.Dunnfh.com
