Anna (Hejmej) Skaluba, 87 of Bristol, widow of John Skaluba, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Aug. 12, 2016.
Born in Poland she was the daughter of the late Jan and Mary (Dynowski) Hejmej. She came to the United States in 1964 and stayed with her uncle’s family in Plainville, Conn.
She would go on to marry the love of her life, John Skaluba of Bristol. She leaves two sons, Stanley and John Skaluba of Bristol. She also leaves her sisters and brothers in Poland, Wanda, Teresa, Jocefa, Zofia, Bronislawa, Joseph and Teofil and many nieces and nephews. A devout Catholic, at one point in her life she attended church every day.
Calling hours are Aug. 17, 2016, at 9 to 10:30 M. at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stanislaus Church, 510 West St., Bristol, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In Poland, at the same time Anna’s Mass is held, her brothers and sisters and family will have a mass in her honor. The family would like to thank relatives and friends for all their thoughts and prayers. WWW.Dunnfh.com
