Anna (Valencis) Coffey
Anna (Valencis) Coffey, 93, of 75 Bartholomew Court, Bristol, passed away Satur-day, Feb. 11, 2006 at her home. She was the widow of John J. Coffey Sr. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Jan. 11, 1913, the daughter of the late Stanley and Caroline (Markiewicz) Valencis. A resident of Bristol for 86 years, Mrs. Coffey was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Joseph Church. She is survived by four sons, John Coffey Jr. of Washington, D.C, Thomas Coffey and his wife, Marilyn, Robert Coffey and his wife, Darlene, and Barry Coffey; two daughters, Carolyn Rossi and Barbara Coffey; a sister, Caroline Fish of Bristol; a daughter-in-law, Helen Coffey Madden, all from Bristol; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Daniel Coffey, and a grandson. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol to St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, in Bristol.
