Andre R. Lessard

Andre R. “Andy” Lessard, 88, of Bristol passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at his Home. He was the widower of Fernande (Angers) Lessard.

Andy was born November 26, 1927 in Lowell, MA, the son of the late Laurent and Emma (Camrie) Lessard.

He was a veteran in WW II serving in the United States Army. He worked at Superior Electric Company for over 34 years before he retired in 1990. He was a member of St. Ann Church and Past President of St. Ann Men League, Past State Commander of Franco War Veterans, Member of B.P.O.E. #1010, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign War and Disable American Veterans.

He is survived by a son, Paul Lessard, of West Hartford; two daughters, Susan Ragaini and her husband (Tom) of Bristol, and Diane and her husband Robert Bowen of New Hartford. A sister, Theresa Jayne of Wethersfield and 4 grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Jennifer (Jarrow) Ragaini, Nicholas Ragaini and his wife Stephanie Mastrianni, Crystal DiYulio and Shaun and his wife Rachael DiYulio. 4 Great Grandchildren, Angela Ragaini, Chelsey Dennis, Jenna and Katie DiYulio. Plus several nieces and nephews and a close friend Irene St. Pierre .

He was predeceased by a brother, Lionel Lessard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 10:00 Am At. St. Ann Church, Bristol, Friends may call at Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol on Wednesday from 9:00 until time of service.
