Amelia Borgio
Amelia Borgio, 89, formerly of Upson St. Bristol, died Wednesday February 18, 2004 surrounded by her family at the Haven Health Center in Farmington.
She was born in Bristol on July 27, 1914 the daughter of the late
Antonio and Nicolette (Filippo) Borgio.
She lived in Bristol her whole life. She was a life long member of St. Anthony Church. Amelia retired in 1978 from E. Ingraham company where she worked for 36 years before she worked at Woolworth's Department Store. She was a long time volunteer at the Bristol Girls Club and Kennedy Apartments, she was a kind and caring lady with many close friends.
She is survived by one sister Ann Miller of New Port Richey, Fl, plus several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Peter, Sperry, Francis and Anthony Borgio; Four sisters' Edilia "Lil" LaRoche, Congetta "Connie" Levesque, Marie "Nell" Cavallaro and Virginia Eisleben.
Funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 PM.
