Alexander Porrini
Bristol, Mr. Alexander Porrini, 74, of 169 Gridley St. Bristol passed away on Monday a" December 15, 2003 at his home he was the husband of the late Beulah O. (Pelkey) Porrini.
He was born in New Britain on November 14, 1929 the son of the late Francesco and Josephine (Falcetti) Porrini.
He was a resident of Bristol his whole life, and graduated from Goodwin Technical School, and was a carpenter by trade.
Mr. Porrini was a member of St. Anthony Church, Carpenter's Union for over 40 years, Business agent for local 952, Knights of Columbus for 19 years - 4th degree knight and a Faithful Navigator.
He was active in many various organizations as a volunteer with his late wife Beulah including the Special Olympics, Concessions at Bingo for the Knights of Columbus and a waiter at the Elks. He was a chairman of the Tootsie Roll Drive and was a member of the Franco American Club and German American Society of Bristol and Bristol Lodge of Elks # 1010.
He is survived by 4 sons Alexander O.; Joseph; Thomas and Paul Porrini, a daughter Heidi Caron and 2 sisters Virginia Shubert and Rosemarie Guzowski.
7 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
Several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 am from Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 a" 8 PM.
