Alekos K. Skempris
Alex K. Skempris, 46, of 46 Forestville Ave., Plainville, owner of Bristol Motor Works, passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2011.
He was the husband of Anne (Brzozowski) Skempris. Alex was born in New Britain July 29, 1965, the son of Linda (Pinto) Skempris and the late Andreas Skempris. Alex graduated from Terryville High School and was state champion for the wresting team. Later, he helped coach the team. Alex worked for Arthur G. Russell Co. for several years as a welder, before he brought Bristol Motor Works six years ago. He was a member of Forestville Polish Society, Forestville Village Association and TRPC Towing Association. He lived to spend time with his family and friends, had fun playing cards, going to the beach.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived a son, Michael Skempris of Plainville and a daughter, Dina Skempris of Terryville; a brother, Chris, and his wife, Saundra Skempris of Terryville; a sister, Gloria Ford, and her husband, Virgil of Deltona, Fla.; father and mother in-law, Bernard and Dorothy (Pahl) Brzozowski; a sister in-law, Jane (Brzozowski) Lilly and her husband Scott of Arundel, Maine; and a brother in-law, Francis and his wife, Lesley (Robinson) Brzozowski, of Bristol; plus several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He didn't go any where wit out Lucy, his lab. Lucy his dog never left his side.
There will be a Mass of Christian burial held Friday, Oct. 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church. Friends may call at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family
